Billing, account deletion, restoring a purchase, and getting a more accurate scan — plus how to reach a human when none of that helps.

01Reach a person

Email hello@dexiumlabs.comwith “FigureScout” in the subject. A real person reads it, usually within two business days.

It helps enormously if you include:

  • your iOS version and iPhone model;
  • what you expected to happen, and what happened instead;
  • for a bad valuation, the figure’s name and a screenshot of the report — the price basis line at the bottom tells us most of what we need.

02Cancel or change a subscription

Subscriptions are billed by Apple, so they are managed in iOS rather than in FigureScout:

  1. Open Settings and tap your name at the top.
  2. Tap Subscriptions.
  3. Choose FigureScout, then Cancel Subscription.

Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends, or Apple will have already charged the next one. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

Refunds are issued by Apple, not by us — request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. Write to us anyway if something went wrong; we would rather know.

03I paid, but the app still says free

Try these in order:

  1. Open the paywall and tap Restore. This re-reads your purchases from Apple.
  2. Check you are signed into the same Apple ID that made the purchase.
  3. Force-quit FigureScout and reopen it.

If it still shows as free, email us with the Apple receipt and we will repair the account manually. You will not be asked to pay twice.

04Delete your account

In the app, open Settings › Delete Account. This permanently removes your account and the collection, watchlist, and scans attached to it.

Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription. Cancel that first (see above), or Apple will keep billing you.

It cannot be undone, and we cannot recover a deleted account.

05Getting a better scan

Identification is only as good as what the camera can see. What helps most:

  • Even, indirect light. Glare on a blister or a graded case hides exactly the printing the app reads.
  • Fill the frame with the figure and its packaging, square to the camera.
  • Capture the card or box front where there is one — line, wave, and copyright date live there.
  • Answer the follow-up questions. When the app asks about a variant or accessories, that answer changes which comparables it prices against.

If a figure is still identified wrongly, correct it in the report. The value is recalculated from the corrected identity, and the correction tells us where to look.

06Why is this valuation wrong?

Often it is not wrong so much as differently sourced. Every report states its basis, and the wording is deliberate:

  • Recent completed sales — what items actually sold for. The strongest evidence available.
  • Active listings — what sellers are currently asking, which is usually above what things fetch. Used when there are no recent sales, and labelled as such.
  • Price guide — a published guide value rather than observed sales.
  • Not enough data — the app refuses to give a number. This is intentional: a confident wrong price is worse than no price.

Confidence is shown alongside. A low score means the app is telling you it might be wrong — that signal is worth more than the number.

If a report cites comparables that are plainly the wrong item, send us the screenshot. Those cases are the most useful bug reports we get.
