Terms of
service

The agreement covering FigureScout: what a valuation is and is not, how subscriptions renew, and where responsibility sits.

In effect from

01This agreement

These terms are between you and Dexium Labs LLC (“Dexium Labs”, “we”) and cover the FigureScout iOS app and its services. Installing or using FigureScout means you accept them. If you do not, do not use the app.

You must be at least 13, and old enough where you live to agree to a contract. How we handle your information is set out in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.

02What FigureScout does

You photograph a collectible. FigureScout uses AI to identify it, looks for comparable listings and sales, and returns an estimated value with a BUY, WATCH, or PASS verdict. It also keeps a collection and a watchlist. That is the whole of the service; anything else is not promised.

03Valuations are estimates, not appraisals

An estimate from FigureScout is not an appraisal, an offer, a guarantee of resale value, or financial or investment advice. Decisions to buy, sell, insure, or price an item are yours alone, and you take the commercial risk of them.

Estimates are produced by software with real limits:

  • Identification can be wrong. Variants, reissues, and reproductions can be visually near-identical, and a photograph may not show the detail that separates them. The app reports its confidence and will decline to answer rather than guess; take those signals seriously.
  • Comparables can be imperfect. Market data comes from third parties and from listing titles written by sellers. We filter aggressively, but a wrong or irrelevant listing can survive.
  • Markets move. An estimate reflects evidence available when it was produced and can be stale by the time you act.

We label where a number came from — a sold-comparables median, live asking prices, or a price guide — precisely so you can judge how much weight it deserves. Read that label before relying on the figure.

04Your account

You sign in with Apple or Google; keep that account secure, because anyone with it has your FigureScout data. One account per person, for your own use. Tell us at hello@dexiumlabs.com if you believe yours has been compromised. You can delete your account in the app at any time.

05Subscriptions, trials, and renewals

FigureScout offers a limited number of free scans and a paid subscription for full access. Some plans begin with a free trial. Consumable scan-credit packs may also be offered.

  • Apple bills you, not us.Purchases are made through your Apple ID and are subject to Apple’s terms.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price until cancelled. Apple charges within 24 hours before each period ends.
  • Cancel at least 24 hours before renewal in Settings › Apple ID › Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
  • Starting a subscription during a free trial forfeits the unused part of that trial, where Apple applies that rule.
  • Scan credits are consumable. Once spent they are gone; they carry no cash value and are not exchangeable.

Refunds are handled by Apple under their policy — we cannot issue them directly, though we will help you where we can. Prices may change; changes affect future periods, never one you have already paid for.

06Acceptable use

Do not:

  • scrape, bulk-extract, or resell FigureScout’s valuations or market data, or use them to build a competing dataset or service;
  • reverse-engineer the app or its API, or access it by any means other than the app itself;
  • interfere with the service or circumvent scan limits, entitlement checks, or rate limits;
  • upload anything unlawful, or anything you lack the right to upload;
  • present a FigureScout estimate as a professional appraisal, or as anyone’s opinion but your own.

07Your photos stay yours

You keep ownership of everything you upload. You grant us only the licence needed to run the service — to store, process, and transmit your photographs so they can be identified and valued, including sending them to the providers named in the privacy policy. We do not use your photographs to advertise, and we do not sell them. Corrections and feedback you submit may be used to improve accuracy.

08Our rights

FigureScout — the app, its interface, its models and prompts, its name and marks — belongs to Dexium Labs. Using the app grants you a personal, revocable, non-transferable licence to use it, and nothing more. Market data belongs to its original sources and is shown under their terms.

09Availability

We aim to keep FigureScout running but do not promise uninterrupted service. Features may change or be withdrawn, and the app depends on third-party services that can fail or change their terms. Where a pricing source becomes unavailable, the app is designed to say so rather than invent a number.

10Disclaimers and liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, FigureScout is provided “as is” and we disclaim all implied warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of any valuation.

We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost profits or lost opportunity — including any loss arising from a purchase, sale, or insurance decision made using an estimate. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before it arose.

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, and if you are a consumer you keep your statutory rights.

11Ending this agreement

You may stop at any time by deleting your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, or where required by law, and will tell you why unless prevented from doing so. Sections that by their nature should survive — ownership, disclaimers, liability — continue to apply afterwards.

12General

We may update these terms; the effective date above will move, and material changes will be surfaced in the app. Continuing to use FigureScout after a change means you accept it.

If any provision is unenforceable, the rest stands. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these terms and may enforce them, and Apple has no responsibility for FigureScout or any claim relating to it.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, where Dexium Labs LLC is organised, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in the State of Georgia, and you consent to exclusive jurisdiction there. If you reside in the EEA, the UK, or another jurisdiction with mandatory consumer-protection laws, those laws apply where they conflict with this section.
