FigureScout identifies collectible figures from photographs and estimates what they are worth. To do that it needs your photos, an account to attach your collection to, and a subscription record.

• Photos you scan are sent to our servers and to OpenAI, which performs the identification. They are not sold, and not used to train third-party models.
• We never ask for your name, address, phone number, or payment details. Apple handles payment; we only ever see whether a subscription is active.
• Advertising attribution runs only if you allow tracking when iOS asks. Decline and it stays off.
• You can delete your account, and everything attached to it, from inside the app at any time.

This summary is for orientation. The sections below govern.

FigureScout is built and operated by Dexium Labs LLC (“Dexium Labs”, “we”). We are the data controller for the information described here. Write to us at hello@dexiumlabs.com with any question about this policy or the data we hold.

You give us

• Photographs of collectibles. The images you scan, plus anything incidentally in frame. Please avoid photographing documents, people, or anything you would not want processed.
• An email address and account identifier.From Sign in with Apple or Google. If you use Apple’s Hide My Email, we only ever receive the relay address.
• Collection and watchlist entries you create, and any corrections you make to an identification.

Your device gives us

• Subscription and purchase history — which plan is active, and whether a trial has been used. Not card details.
• Product interaction and usage data — which screens and features are used, so we can tell what is working.
• Crash and performance diagnostics when something fails.
• An advertising identifier (IDFA) — only if you grant permission when iOS asks. See tracking.

We do not collect your precise location, contacts, health data, or browsing history from other apps.

• To run the product — identify a figure, price it against market evidence, keep your collection in sync across launches, and honour your subscription. Without this data the app has nothing to work from.
• To keep it accurate. Corrections you submit help us find where identification goes wrong. This is the single most useful thing a user gives us.
• To keep it working — diagnose crashes, find slow or failing paths, and prevent abuse of paid features.
• To understand what brought you here, where you have allowed tracking, so we know which marketing is worth continuing.

A scan is uploaded to our storage and sent to OpenAI’s API, which returns a structured identification — line, character, variant, packaging, grade. That result is what we price against market data; the market lookups themselves send only text (a search query built from the identification), never your image.

OpenAI processes the image on our behalf as a service provider. Images sent through their API are not used to train their models.

Your scans stay attached to your account so you can revisit a report, and are removed when you delete the scan or your account.

We do not sell personal information. We share the minimum needed with service providers who process it on our behalf:

• OpenAI — image identification.
• eBay, PriceCharting, SoldComps — market pricing. They receive a text search query, not your photo or your identity.
• Adapty — subscription state and entitlement.
• PostHog — product analytics.
• Sentry — crash and error diagnostics.
• AppsFlyer and GoMarketMe — advertising and affiliate attribution. Active only with your tracking permission.
• Railway and Tigris — application hosting and file storage.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to protect our rights or users’ safety. If Dexium Labs is ever acquired, account data may transfer with the business; you would be told before that changes anything material.

iOS asks once whether FigureScout may track you across apps and websites. If you allow it, your advertising identifier is shared with AppsFlyer and GoMarketMe so we can attribute an install or a purchase to the ad or creator that led to it. If you decline, no advertising identifier is shared and those tracking endpoints are blocked by iOS itself.

You can change your mind at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.

• Account, collection, and scans — until you delete them or close your account.
• Diagnostics and analytics — retained on a rolling basis by the providers above and used in aggregate.
• Purchase and billing records — kept as long as tax and accounting rules require, even after an account closes.
• Market comparables — public listing data, not personal to you, kept as a cache and refreshed over time.

Deleting your account is built in. Open Settings › Delete Account in the app. It removes your account and the collection, watchlist, and scans attached to it. It cannot be undone, and it does not cancel an active subscription — cancel that in the App Store first (see the support page).

Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to access a copy of your data, correct it, restrict or object to processing, or port it elsewhere — and to complain to your local data protection authority. Email hello@dexiumlabs.com and we will respond within 30 days. We do not charge for this and will not treat you differently for asking.

FigureScout is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has created an account, write to hello@dexiumlabs.com and we will delete it.

We operate from Europe and use providers located in the United States and elsewhere, so your information may be processed outside your country. Where that involves personal data leaving the UK or EEA, we rely on the transfer mechanisms those providers offer, such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

Traffic is encrypted in transit, sign-in uses Apple’s and Google’s own identity systems rather than a password we store, and access to production data is limited to those who need it. No system is perfectly secure; we do not claim otherwise.

If we change how FigureScout handles your information, we will update this page and move the effective date. Material changes will be surfaced in the app rather than left here to be discovered.
